But how do people truly feel about it? A recent survey by <a href=\"http:\/\/cimigo.com\/en\">Cimigo<\/a> paints the picture of a cautiously optimistic public: one that views AI as useful and empowering, yet acknowledges its concerns and limitations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>General sentiment: curious, cautious, and mostly positive<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The overall outlook is positive, 49% of respondents feel positive or very positive about the presence of AI in today\u2019s life. A further 25% remain neutral, while only a small fraction (6%) express negative views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reasons behind this optimism are largely practical. Among those with positive views, 79% believe AI helps to speed up work, 64% say it makes daily life easier, 57% see it as a tool to enhance education and knowledge, and 48% believe it can solve complex problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These insights suggest that the more people engage with AI, the more they appreciate its functional value, particularly in helping them work smarter, not harder.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cimigo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/AI-optimism-Indonesia.jpg\" alt=\"AI sentiments\" class=\"wp-image-27446\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><strong>AI awareness and adoption<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Awareness of AI is high. The most recognized technologies include Conversational AI tools (81%) like ChatGPT or Google Gemini, Language translators (63%) such as Google Translate and Virtual assistants (55%) like Siri or Alexa. Notably, even more advanced or specialized applications like self-driving cars (30%) and AI for medical diagnosis (24%) are widely recognized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AI is not just known, it\u2019s actively used. A third of respondents (33%) say they use it almost every day, and another 29% use it at least weekly. That means more than 60% are engaging with it on a regular basis. Only 17% report rare usage, and just 5% have not used it at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the non-users, who are mainly aged 40 years old or above, the primary barriers are lack of understanding on how to use it (50%), data security concerns (39%) and perception that it\u2019s not relevant to them (39%).<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cimigo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/AI-awareness-and-adoption-Indonesia.jpg\" alt=\"AI awareness and adoption\" class=\"wp-image-27449\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><strong>What users say about their experience<\/strong> <strong>of using AI<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Those who use AI are generally satisfied. 82% report being somewhat or very satisfied. Only 4% express dissatisfaction, while 14% remain neutral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among users, the top reasons for satisfaction centre around convenience and productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>79% appreciate that it makes it easier to find information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>58% say it helps them complete tasks more quickly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>42% use it to improve their writing, particularly for grammar correction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>33% enjoy personalized content recommendations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>However, a few concerns still surface:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4% feel the data is not accurate enough.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3% say the output doesn&#8217;t always match their instructions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A small percentage (4%) continue to raise privacy concerns.<br><br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cimigo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/AI-user-experience-Indonesia.jpg\" alt=\"AI user experience\" class=\"wp-image-27453\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><strong>AI is becoming a trusted tool, but simplicity and trust still matter<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This survey suggests that AI is becoming increasingly embedded in daily life, as a helpful assistant, an educational aid, and a productivity enhancer. The challenge ahead is not persuading people of its usefulness, but rather simplifying access, addressing trust and privacy concerns, and helping more users grasp its potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As AI continues to evolve, the key will be building confidence and ease of use, particularly among those who feel left behind or overwhelmed by the technology.
